Hi everyone!
Today and tomorrow will be our last lovely days for a while. It suppose to get to a high of 16 today (if we do, it's a new record) and Friday is forecasted as a high of 12, low of -6 with increasing clouds. They're calling for snow on Saturday and maybe Sunday. It was a bit cooler walking to work today and earlier in the week but I'm not complaining...
Trying to decide on a new haircut. I got two different magazines to help me choose a new style. I got a gift certificate for the salon down the street. Well, actually I bought the gift certificate for myself. It consists of two visits. The first visit includes: a hair design and color consultation, hair cut, shampoo and designer style, custom conditioning with relaxing scalp massage and your choice of any one of the following: full color, foil or cap highlight, perm. The second visit includes: hair cut, shampoo and designer style and custom conditioning with relaxing scalp massage. I have until July to use up the two coupons. They were having a special deal for new clients so this is why I got the gift certificate. I'm hoping to get my hair cut within the next two weeks. This way, if it looks horrid, I still have time to fix it before flying to Ontario!
After work yesterday, I dropped off brownies at Inn from the Cold and then roamed around The Bay. It's such a great store to play in. I had a lot of fun trying on hats. At Bethel class we had a discussion followed by part of a movie. The movie (we've been watching it for 3 classes now) is based on the Gospel of Matthew. It's actually quite interesting for me as I'm a visual person. I find it easier to follow than reading the words. Basically, it's set up as Matthew (the tax collector) retelling his adventures with Jesus and there are scribes writing down his story. There's lots of scenery changes - marketplaces, countryside, animals such as goats and sheep, so it makes the book seem easier to relate to. The downside of the movie was the room was warm and cozy and I ended falling asleep!
Have choir practise tonight (although I won't be in church on Sunday). Aside from that, all's quiet in Alberta (except for Ralph - I may hate his ideas, but at least he gives his honest opinion).
