Hello!
I had my Bethel class (a Bible study class that looks at reoccurring themes rather than focusing on specific scripture.) downtown last night so I had a few minutes before class to explore The Bay. I love this store (more to touch the fabrics and see the expensive clothes that are in the magazines) although I can rarely afford anything unless there's an amazing sale. Anyways, I was wandering around and I saw my sweater for the year. Each year, I buy one really nice sweater as a treat for myself. This gorgeous cardigan is dusty rose and instead of buttons, there is a satin ribbon that loops through two rings in the front. I saw it and thought "Yep, this is the sweater". Unfortunately, it wasn't on sale and it was rather expensive. I decided to keep going but I had to go back and try it on. Needless to say, I ended up buying the sweater.I was putting the bag away this morning and I felt a flyer in the bottom. The flyer stated that this Saturday, all women's regular-priced fashions were 30% off! I was rather upset because that 30% difference is my grocery bill for a week. I called The Bay and was told if I come in on Saturday, they can adjust my purchase. Now I'm in a great mood as I have a great sweater, and I can also get my discount. I'm going downtown anyways for my MS Access class so it's not as if it a big inconvenience for me.
After my class, I came home and took down my Hallowe'en decorations and cleaned my apartment. Unfortunately it's been a hectic few months and the dust bunnies are getting to be the same size as Whiskers! Tonight and tomorrow should have my apartment looking nice but I hate using my vacuum. It's really loud! I also only have carpet in the living room. The horrid black and white checkered linoleum covers the rest of the apartment so I'm looking for suggestions about a different vacuum. I have a Dirt Devil Scorpion and it seems to have a vent that blow air out the front which just moves my dust around! Has anyone tried a stick vacuum? The snow's still here but I was toasty warm in my new sweater while walking to work.
I have choir practice tonight and another load of laundry to do. Can you wash rugs in the washing machine? Thanks for the lovely comments. It's nice to hear from you! I'll be back in Ontario on December 15th so hopefully I'll have a chance to see everyone.
