Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone!

Got back in one piece (along with my luggage!) despite having to be on the plane for an extra hour. Mike was extremely happy to see me (wouldn't leave my ankles and followed me around everywhere). He (typical idiot that he is) had me up Monday morning at 6:13am. Went to the dentist for part 1 of my fillings. Some good news - if I had waited for another 3 months, the dentist would likely have had to do a root canal on at least one tooth. Will eventually need a crown for the tooth but that's in the far future. Had 5 fillings done (my mouth still aches) but probably the thing that hurt the most was the needles. I was frozen from one side of my nose right to the back of my throat. The dentist was very nice and warned me about different pressure, shaking etc. Will be back at the end of the month for part 2. My mouth feels a bit odd because my right side teeth are higher than the left. I think he built up the one side and then it'll even out when he does the other side. Other good news - I qualified for a payment plan.

Still a bit sniffly and sore today. Very tired - stayed up reading a book. I just got a copy of the new Terry Brooks book from the library and it's the final book in that particular series.

Went to the grocery store after work yesterday and picked up some fresh, hot bread. I defrosted a chicken earlier but by the time I got home, all I wanted was bread. Had a few slices before getting the roast ready. Had a few more once the roast was in. Made a salad (well, opened a bag and dumped some salad on my plate and added dressing). Had more bread. Took the chicken out of the oven. Ended up being full from the bread and put the chicken in the fridge. Altogether, I ate about 3/4 of the loaf of french bread. It was really yummy!

Have a zillion and one things to do around the house this week. Still not completely unpacked. Spent most of my time cuddling with my pals (Whiskers was actually well-behaved last night).

Have a great day!
