Hi Everyone!
It was another nice morning to walk to work (although since I didn't want to get out of bed I ended up running yet again). The temperature's not suppose to be as high as yesterday (+9 this afternoon vs yesterday's +10) but I'm not complaining.
Not much going on. Ordered some winter boots from Sears today (will arrive on Monday). They look funky yet practical (white with faux fur at the top but also has a -30 rating and good grip).
Have a huge list of things to do tonight - my apartment looks like a tornado went through it! I've been in a stay-at-home mood since I got back. Hopefully I'll get back into routine soon and things will get straightened out.
My amaryllis plant grew two flower stalks and the first one (with four blooms) has finished. I cut the stalk off at the bottom and have turned the pot so the second stalk will straighten and I'll get more blooms. I have quite a few leaves on the plant and it looks rather interesting. I am also growing a pot head. It's in the shape of a cat and in a couple weeks, I'll have grass to give my pals.
Did you know that people in Calgary have never heard of ham and bacon lunch meat?! I tried to get some at the grocery store. I first went to the meat department where the pre-packaged lunch meats and hotdogs are found. I didn't see any. I then went to the deli. When I asked the lady at the counter, she gave me a funny look and started to search for bacon. I explained to her what it was so she went to the back to ask the senior lady. She didn't know either but still wanted me to get some regular bacon. I asked Lori & Sylvia if they had heard of it but all I got was blank faces. I guess I'll just have to buy my ham and bacon separate for pizza!
Have a great day!

Granted I don't often buy mixed lunch meats, but *I've* never heard of ham and bacon lunchmeat, hon.
You're just wierd! :P
