Yet another Wednesday

Hi Everyone!

I just heard on the radio that the weather forecast is a high of -26 tomorrow. It's currently -7 C and it'll be dropping dramatically tonight. It was quite cold this morning and I took the bus (because I slept in). Wearing my long johns today and wore my super warm -40 coat today. I'll walk home (quicker than transit) so hopefully my legs won't be too cold. We're suppose to be in a cold snap for the next couple weeks.

Had a great 2 hour nap last night before the meeting. Whiskers didn't want to come out of her cage but Mike curled up with me. I could have slept for a lot longer but I had my meeting. It was very productive so I'm glad I went but my body could have used a bit more sleep. I've decided not to attend Bethel tonight and will head straight home for another nap. Basically, my energy reserves haven't refilled since being sick with that stupid cold. Last week's Townships presentation and the prep work required drained a lot out of me. Now, the physical effort involved with the bathroom is finally forcing my body to take care of itself. Usually, if I have a high stress couple of weeks (ie physically, little sleep, stress and/or unhealthy/strange hours eating) my body can handle it up to a point. It then literally forces me to take some time off to sleep and recover. I was hoping to wait until the weekend (holiday on Monday - Family Day) but I've been so tired this week I think it's best for me to take tonight off as well.

My plan for tonight: go home and kiss my sweeties hello, touch-up the plaster on the wall, do a couple touch-ups on the ceiling, nap, make a proper supper, paint 2nd coat on walls, cuddle with my sweeties, tidy apartment, back to bed.

My stupid croci (we just had an argument about the plural form - both "croci" and "crocuses" are acceptable according to Webster's) and my other bulbs have decided that there is no cold snap and that they should start growing! The croci (hee-hee I like this word!) are up about 1/2" and the other bulbs are about 1" high. Mom told me they should be o'kay - they'll go dormant again until spring.

One of the salespeople brought in Valentine's Day cupcakes to work. There was a huge amount of icing on them, heart candies and a plastic ring on top. They were quite yummy although I'm not fussy on the icing they used. I much prefer butter icing.

Have a great day!
