-22 C

Hi Everyone!

One tv station said it was -23 this morning, another said it was -21. I'm taking the average and saying it was damn cold. I was quite warm (I had to remove my mittens a couple times to cool down) except for an area from about 6" above my knees to just below my knee joint. It was the only area that was exposed to the cold (ie no outer layer there). My eyelashes started to stick together by the time I got to work and I imagine my hair leaves something to be desired. Overall, it wasn't too bad walking although I wished I had left about 10 minutes earlier so I could have taken it a bit easier. My big boots slowed my down and it's a larger strain on my calf muscles. I love my ugly warm red coat and it kept my core quite toasty.

My plans for last night deviated a bit from my plan. (PS - Slyvia just told me the temperature has now dropped to -26 and there's a windchill factor this afternoon for -39). After I got home, I cuddled with Gilbert as I watched the early news. I then crawled into bed with Whiskers and slept for 2 1/2 hours. It was rather nice. I got up, made a Swanson tv dinner (hungry man fried chicken - they have a yummy brownie for dessert) and watched American Idol. Did a bit of cross-stitching and went back to bed (this time with Mike). No painting/plastering for me! I feel a lot more refreshed this morning.

After work today, I'm donating plasma and then have choir practice. I have no plans for tomorrow night. On the weekend, I have yoga and Mike's vet apointment on Saturday, church on Sunday, and I want to go to the museum sometime this weekend for the Petra exhibit. This is the last weekend for it.

Have a great (and warm) day!
