Funny Cartoon

Hi Everyone!

This was in the paper yesterday and I found it very funny. The cartoon is called "Pearls Before Swine".


1. Picture - there's a donkey wearing yellow with polka dots boxer shorts, sitting on a purple couch watching tv. There are several crumpled cans laying on the floor and he has one in his hand. His dialog box says "I like beer". Another dialog says "Ding Dong!"

Above caption - Danny Donkey sat a home in his underwear and drank beer. The doorbell rang.

2. Picture - 2 men wearing ties, 1 (balding) is holding a clip board. The other has an orange afro. Danny is at the door, holding his beer with dialog box "?"

Above caption - "Help save the planet," said the people at his door. "Huh?" said Danny Donkey.

3. Picture - close-up of the two men

Above caption - "Sign a petition. Attend a rally. Display a bumper sticker."

4. Picture - as described in 2

Above caption - "I would like to sit at home in my underwear and drink beer," said Danny Donkey.

5. Picture - as described in 3

Above caption - "But what does that accomplish?" asked the people.

6. Picture - close up of Danny

Above caption "The beer that I am holding will go from fully to empty," said Danny Donkey, "and I will be happy."

7. Picture - as described in 2 but this time the men are crying. The balding man's dialog box says "Forgive us Danny Donkey". Danny's dialog box says, "Urp"

Above caption - And at that, the people wept, for they realized the genius that was Danny Donkey.

8. Picture - goat holding a script "You are not gonna put this in a children's book". Mouse with a pencil behind his ear "But it's about redemption." Pig crying "I am so moved."
