I'm blonde!

Hi everyone!

Yesterday was an exciting day. I went to the hair salon and came out blonde. Hassan, my stylist mentioned the last time I was in if I had ever thought about going blonde. I said "No". I've been many other colours and I've had blonde highlights before but I never thought I could pull it off.

Anyways, several months later, I decided to go for it. I found a great new style (short again) and told Hassan my plan. He was wonderful! I still had a few red highlights in from the fall so he had to bleach my hair before applying the colour. It was rather funny to see my hair after that - it reminded me of Aunt Viola's hair from when I was a kid. He then applied the colour. I only told him "blonde" and told him to choose the right tone/shade for me.

It turned out amazing. When he bleached my hair, he deliberately made some parts darker and some lighter so when he applied the colour, I ended up with highlights without highlighting. It's a rich golden blonde that works well with my eyebrows and skin complexion. Altogether, I was in the salon for about two and a bit hours.

That afternoon, I went with my movie group to see "Grindhouse". Basically, it's a double feature of horrid "B" movies. There are pretend trailers between the movies and altogether it's about three hours long. The first was a zombie movie and the second was a car chase movie. Not the sort of movies I would normally see but since they were suppose to be bad, they were really funny. I would recommend seeing them but be prepared to suspend reality/physics/logic throughout the movies. As well, "sensitive" viewers might find them offensive - there's a reason why they're rated "R". Went out for beer and wings after. It was a lot of fun.

Today is a lovely spring day - warmish and fresh. I've got lots of homework and household chores to do.
