Hi Everyone!
I likely won't have time before Easter to write again so here are my early greetings. I attended the Good Friday service today, have the labyrinth tomorrow, and the sunrise & regular services on Sunday. We've got three choir pieces, including the "Halleluia" chorus. It should be challenging but fun. I was rather tired today and ended up having a 4 hour nap.
Needless to say, I've got a lot things I need to do tonight. I'm currently waiting for hot-crossed buns to come out of the oven so I can put the next batch in. I've only got room for 8 buns/cookie sheet so it's a time consuming process. I'm glazing them with maple syrup this year (rather than corn syrup) and used dried cranberries cherries and blueberries rather than raisins. I had an uncrossed one and I've got to say - it was yummy! I'll eat a proper one for all of you.
Congratulations to my friends Sarah & Greg! They just announced their engagement and I'm very happy for them.
It's cold and snow here - the warm weather's on the other side of the mountains but it should be here in a few days.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend. Hopefully, you'll have a chance for quiet reflection. If not, eat lots of chocolate and bounce off the walls because of the sugar.
